Shama is a Multidisciplinary Space Designer and Scenographer with an eclectic project portfolio. She has designed and created spaces for exhibitions, residences, retail, restaurants, entertainment, film and theater. She has also worked on spatial design and visualization projects for animation and visual art.

Shama has a Master’s in Scenography from Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design, University of the Arts London, UK. She got her Bachelor’s in Interior Architecture at the Faculty of Design, Center for Environmental Planning and Technology (CEPT) in Ahmedabad, INDIA

After graduating from Saint Martin’s, for over two years, Shama worked on the design development of live entertainment spectaculars at the Mark Fisher Studio in London. She has had the opportunity to apprentice under Mark Fisher and was part of the teams that designed stage sets for various shows and circus spectaculars like “We will rock you” and Cirque du Soleil’s “Ka”.

In 2004, she returned to India, and worked with Xheight Design Associates - a multidisciplinary design studio. With them she had the opportunity to work on the production design of the  animated film "Arjun : A Warrior Prince", & features like Dhoom 2, Kartik Calling Kartik, Agent Vinod, Tigers ( initially White lies) and quite a few TVCs.

Shama has been working independently since 2010. She believes that design for space should be an extension to our personas and our needs, which can be underlined with pleasing aesthetics and good quality that can be used seamlessly.
